Yoga is one of those exercises where we can easily think that it is not doing very much. The movements seem to be relatively easy and we ask ourselves whether they are worth doing at all. I know when I first heard of Yoga, I thought it was silly and totally pointless. How can any of these movements actually help me with weight loss or with anything else?
Thing is, once you actually do Yoga and do it fairly often, you will notice something quite distinctive. It is more than exercise. Yoga will help build up muscles and help you loose weight but it is not the reason us Endo girls should be doing it. Yoga offers a wonderful way of making you feel good which typical exercise just can’t come close to. It is an inner feeling of power, calm and like a sense of knowing which I have never felt with exercise. Somehow you feel grounded and a real sense of self. Does that make sense?
There are these awesome movements like the Warrior Pose which really make you feel strong and in control.
One of the things I love most about Yoga is that it carries a feeling of control, calm and focus right throughout your day. It is not like going for a walk which might make you feel good for about an hour of doing it. Yoga somehow gets into our mind and calms and gains focus there too! It is just wonderful!
So, my recommendation is to really get into Yoga! It is especially beneficial first thing in the morning. I will research some DVD’s which to get if you don’t have a gym or class to get to and post them here shortly!
First thing in the morning is best as it gets our liver working and gets rid of toxins in the body!
Get into it! You will feel amazing!
