Celeste Shares her story of Endometriosis success through prayer.

Celeste has a lovely story and journey with Endometriosis. It is so positive and will really lift you up.

I’m honored to be invited to this amazing forum, thank you Melissa!  I am here to share with you that there is hope; you don’t have a life sentence.  If I can find a way to healing from Endometriosis, so can you so don’t give up!

I always had painful periods from my late start in high school.  I thought it was normal to need 3 Advil to function.  A few years ago they got debilitating and it took a long time to figure out my diagnosis.  I went through a colonoscopy and other tests after a night in the ER with severe pain I thought was appendicitis before a nurse practitioner at my GYN office clued me in. The hospital found two ovarian cysts but said it was very normal to have them. They sent me home with pain killers (a brand now discontinued due to death) and no real answers.  Looking back I wonder how I was so out of touch with my body.  I was having painful symptoms related to digestion but only around my period and ovulation.  I went on a 6 month stint of Lupron.  It did the trick while I was on it but the hot flashes were interesting.  As soon as the course of Lupron was done I got the clear from the doc to go make babies, “It would be the best thing for you” said the doctor.  Two weeks later my pain returned and dashed that plan (which led us to the beautiful miracle of our daughter through adoption, but that’s another story).  I went on continuous birth control and started some natural therapies.  I went to acupuncture a few times a week and cut gluten out of my diet.  These things helped a lot and I was feeling a lot better than when on Lupron.  6 months later, however, my pain returned and my doc and I decided surgery was the next option.  I scheduled it for as soon as possible and went on Lupron again.  I also added an anti-anxiety medication and Elmiron for interstitial cystitis.  After surgery and Lupron I resumed the birth control pill continuously and functioned pretty well with the meds, my immune system was down though and sinus infections plagued me.  I had a lot of brain fogginess but was happy (new baby at home).

I am part of a MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers Sharing) and we had a guest speaker talk about essential oils.  I talked to a friend who uses them after that about helping my daughter with croup.  She was talking about all the ways oils have helped her.  Something gave me the courage to ask if oils ever help chronic illness.  Then she told me about her sponsor Carrie and her incredible death to life healing story from chronic illness.  I was thrilled!  I met with her and got started right away with a couple of oils.  I averted a stomach flu with them, started feeling some relief from IBS symptoms and got really excited about ordering a kit to get started.  For Christmas my husband got me the starter kit.  My sinus infections cleared up and I started eating better, organic, gluten free foods.

Once my worst issue was resolved (sinus infections), I started feeling a lot better and wanted to start working on getting off of the meds that kept my endometriosis and interstitial cystitis at bay.  I was using all the oils in the Young Living Everyday Oils kit, especially loved how Frankincense made me feel. I found there is a huge community of oilers/natural healing people on Facebook.  I learned from there what kind of products could help support me if I wanted to get off of Cymbalta(www.drugawareness.org).  I started taking an Omega 3 supplement and used a lot of frankincense (probably about 4 drops a day).  With my doctor’s approval and guidance, I took my dose down by 10 mg every month or two.  I was at 60 mg in Jan 2012, down to 10mg in July 2012.  The Omega 3 helped a lot with the brain fogginess that comes with withdrawal.  I found that I’d have a day or two of fogginess and feel pretty emotional, but then my body seemed to regulate and do fine.  Knowing this, I’d plan to cut down on days I knew wouldn’t be as busy/stressful.

In April my endometriosis pain returned one day and I was devastated.  I cried buckets, but then I had an amazing moment and said to God in prayer: “Ok, I’m ready, let’s heal this thing.”  The next week, on my 35th birthday, I had the opportunity to experience a healing massage called Raindrop treatment.  It’s hard to describe how truly amazing it was.  I knew God was healing me, I felt it during the massage.  I was healed physically and emotionally. I had a powerful image of the woman who was healed of hemorrhaging when she reached out to touch Jesus’ robe. (Mark 5: 25-34) I have always related to this woman and now felt the healing that she felt.  Raindrop involves prayer, my experience was deeply spiritual.

A week or two later I went off the birth control pill and started Progessence plus daily 4-8 drops and did a 5 day cleanse.  I have had normal periods since and they are very manageable. If I get bad cramps, extra Progessence and a few drops of Dragon Time do the trick.  Years ago they were unbearable and I’d even miss work because of them.  Now I consider myself free of endometriosis and living healed.  It was a long process and I have to admit that pharmaceuticals and surgery (2010) were a part of the process but I was dependent on the drugs to keep it in remission until I found true healing with Young living oils, diet and cleansing. I also find I have to maintain a clean diet and do periodic colon cleansing. I am very open to answering anyone’s questions about the products and changes I made.  Please check out my blog, website and Facebook page.
