I don’t personally believe they were the cause of developing Endometriosis but their imbalance will certainly impact on how we feel and how much our Endometriosis grows and worsens. Your hormones control so many aspects of your health and how you feel emotionally, that it [...]

How do you define yourself and who you are?
by Melissa on April 8, 2011 in Featured Articles, Thoughts and Emotions
One of the things I think I really loved about living in the rainforest is that I didn’t have to define myself by the usual standards by which we typically surround ourselves with. James and I ran the lodge on our own in an isolated spot, in the middle of nowhere. We didn’t have any comparisons, or [...]

by Melissa on March 23, 2011 in Featured Articles, Stress & Endometriosis, Thoughts and Emotions

Believe you can heal yourself! It will boost your immune system!

Our immune system is very dependent on our emotional state and will react accordingly. When we are very stressed, the immune system will become weakened as we are placing more strain on the body. When we are light and positive, this will also impact on the immune system, but in a positive way. We can [...]

I just wanted to say, how enlightening your Site is, a dear friend of mine, has gone through hell and back, it has taken them three and a half years to finally diagnose that she has Endometriosis, and as a result it is quite advanced, she is now waiting for an operation. I have been reading up on the subject, because I want to be there for her, and to do that I need to understand the problems she is encountering, many thanks for laying it out so that it can be easily understood.
