The real reasons I write this Endo blog each and every day

It’s funny but many people who are new to my blog and my journey, can’t comprehend why or how I manage to share a new article each and every day. Some people think I am just obsessed or nuts or just plain bored!

The thing is, I might be a little nuts and perhaps obsessed but I thought I would share my real motivation for writing this blog.

1. I lack discipline in most things

I know this is hard to believe but there are few things I have ever stuck to each and every day of my life….ever! – well maybe brushing my teeth! I am even like that with supplements. I have “supplement fads” and will get all excited about one or another supplement and stick with it for a short time and then something new and exciting comes along and then I will try that. Luckily, I have heard recently that this is actually a good approach – the not taking the same supplement, at the same time each and every day. The body likes variety – much like exercise.

The point is, that if I don’t write every day or at least every second day, I struggle to get back into it. Some would say that I could write once a week or once a month but I find if I am not focused on it, I simply get no inspiration to write or share information. The more research I do, the more I find and the more I want to share. When I don’t write or research, I find it difficult to find a topic I want to write about. – make sense?

2. I love helping others

When I get emails and comments about how my suggestions have helped you, it makes me feel so good. I love it! I love helping others and with my knowledge in Endometriosis, I feel I can do that. The joy of the internet is that I can share a whole heap of information, which you can read and take onboard as you choose. The downside is of course, that sometimes I will never know if I have actually helped you at all – hence the occasional feeling like I am not reaching enough people :)

3. It is also for me, not just you :)

Sometimes I get amazing emails from girls recommending products for me to try or asking me questions about supplements to explore and it has lead me down the path of many products, I had never considered! This is so valuable to me and naturally I share it with you but it is also a massive learning and ultimate healing for me! If I didn’t have this blog, I wouldn’t come across these products or supplements and be able to delve into our bodies healing powers.

4. This stuff actually excites me!

Sometimes I feel like there is so much I want to share, I could just burst! I have to remind myself that things take time and to write it all down and I will get it to you, in good time! It also allows me to re-evaluate some stuff before I hit the “publish” button!

I get excited when I find strange links between mineral deficiencies or how a supplement would work on our healing. The more I discover, the more I find that the body is just a massive puzzle and all the pieces play their part and work together – kinda obvious…..but when you get into it, it is so exciting when the big picture forms in your mind!

Some people find it hard to believe that I have no other motivators for writing this blog. What about money? Surely, I must make some money out of it all?

Truth is, I make a little bit of pocket money with this site. – barely enough to cover the costs…. really, but I am not motivated by money. I make a living with my partner James, running lodges or working together in the hospitality industry. We have a great, relaxed lifestyle and though we don’t make fortunes, we are happy with what we have.

Today I came across some scary information about an Ebook that I was considering promoting on my blog. What scared me about it was that the person behind it, was merely there to make money. They have no other motivation. The Ebook has been hailed as a complete healer of Endometriosis. It hurts me that such people exist. I appreciate that people need to earn a living but when people do it unethically, it really upsets me.

To me, if this site ever made enough money to live on, it would simply give me more time to get my information out there, to share it with different Endometriosis Associations around the world. To go into schools and help girls who think they just have “period pain” and help get the message out there.

So, if you are new to my site or you have ever wondered why I do this, I hope I have settled your curiosity! Truth is, I am just a healthy nutter :)

    Melissa,
Why don’t you? You have so much content in your blog you just need to organize it into an comprehensive E-book then we could pay to download and unlike published books you can always revise/add to the content. It’s nice to have a good read in your hands (with a cup of tea) and get away form the computer.Something to chew on.
    Blessings,
    Kimber

Thanks so much for the encouragement Kimber! I guess I want to get to the part where I am actually CURED! Maybe I should write one….like Road 2 Recovery! That way, I can just add to it as I discover more!
      Hugs, Mel
