One of my subscribers asked me what I use as a deodorant and I thought I would share some other products – well besides the deodorant
I have gone out of my way to find natural products that don’t contain any sodium laurel sulphate and dioxins as they are toxic on our poor bodies. I wanted things that worked, equally as well or at least reasonably well (mascara is just not quite as volumising in the natural brands!)
So, I found them… after exploring all the natural products on the market for skin care, I realised that most of them are just not trustworthy – please let me know if you have found any. I found it all too hard to research all of the ingredients and they were also really pricey! I found that my skin reacted to most of them and it didn’t seem to help clear my skin any further either. I then discovered oils. Initially I thought this was very strange to put oil on my face but I understand that oil is actually exactly what our skins need to prevent them from creating more – hence more skin problems when we dry it out too much. On this video I show you what I use for my skin, my teeth and my make-up. Hope you find the suggestions useful for yourself.
Endometriosis is hugely aggravated by dioxins. The more we can diminish them, the better!
Here is a great place to buy the Natural Deodorant stick, I mentioned in the video: CrystalBodyDeodorantRollOn1L

I loved the video!
I am really interested in this topic. My homeopathy Dr took away all mint’s chamoile ect. so it has made it a big challenge for what to use. I am thinking of going back to a product called the magic mitt(use water only to cleanse your face with).then you throw it in the wash.
Now I know everyone is prob. thinking oh that is easy but you would be suprised in natural things how it has mint of one type or another.Any tips of great products i would love
Yeah I had no idea how many of the plant based phytoestrogens I was using either! Mint, Lavender and Tea Tree are so widely used in Shampoo’s etc! I have now decided to use heaps more Bicarbonate of Soda. It is surprisingly good for hair! I use it as a shampoo and then use Apple Cider Vinegar as a conditioner! My hair looks amazing doing this!
The Magic Mitt sounds cool! Don’t think we have them here in NZ though.
Vinegar is also good to clean with
Hi Melissa
Aw I love the video, and wow your skin looks just so lovely! Really great tips, I think I will give the oil-pulling a go! After reading one of your posts about using baking soda to wash your hair I was quite bemused, but decided to try it out. Well, what can I say, the result was just great! So shiny and just a really super clean build-up, even better than the supposedly organic shampoo I had been using (but really, it is so hard to tell even in those products what all the ingredients mean)! The only thing was that the hair felt a little bit ‘squeaky’ so I did some reading and found that following the baking soda wash with a rinse of diluted apple cider vinegar will help restore the ph of the hair shaft and smooth it down. This seemed to work really well
For a body exfoliator I like to use a ‘paste’ of epsom salts and a little bit of water – the skin feels so super smooth after! Plus, the magnesium being absorbed in the process is great for our neuromuscular system. I like to use honey as a face mask sometimes, and also a good tip is to rub avocado skins on your own skin as a moisturiser. I go through a lot of avocados for all of the omega goodness so this seemed like a great way to get even more mileage out of them! I love it that we can talk about our ‘alternative’ beauty regimes here – most people seem kind of closed-minded about these natural ways (I guess the marketers have really done a good job on them..)! Thanks for a wonderful post! x
Thanks Hannah and thanks for sharing some fantastic ideas! I hadn’t even considered avocado skins. How do you do that? It is the rough bit or the left over bits still on the avocado after you’ve eaten it? Love honey! It is so moisturising! Great tip on the Epsom salts too
Great one! Pleasure Hannah and glad you enjoyed it
