Free Meditation Audio compiled by Mel!

I decided to take a day off yesterday after I had my amalgam filling replaced. I always find going to the dentist quite stressful so I needed a quite space to get away to. I drove to the beach and just sat there for ages. It was such a wonderfully relaxing space and it got me thinking about how important meditation has become in my life. I don’t do it nearly enough but I know how to do it, which is something I struggled to do for years!

Meditation requires you to still your mind. I found this incredibly hard initially and if you have never done any meditation, you are likely to find it hard too :)

So, I thought I would record a meditative audio track for you. It has the beach in the background which will hopefully help you feel as relaxed as I did yesterday! The idea behind my audio track, it is to find a place of joy and happiness, which is easier than trying to focus on just stillness. I find this way of focus really helpful for my healing as I am able to calm down anyway. Doing this, manages to seep into every aspect of my life and fills my whole day with positive things!

The first thing you need to do, is download it onto an ipod and then find a quiet space to sit or lie down. Make sure you are comfortable and warm. Ideally do this outside so you get the benefits of earthing/grounding to go with it! You are welcome to use this as a way to fall asleep too :)

Just right click and press save as. You should be able to listen to it with QuickTime or itunes. Let me know if you have any trouble and I will convert the file for you into different formats. :)

Hope you like it :)

    Hi Melissa,

I’m new to your blog, and just noticed your tips for meditation! :) I’ve been meditating with a nonprofit organization called sahaja meditation. All the meditations (in person or online) are completely free! Here’s the webiste: http://www.sahajameditation.org/. The benefits to this meditation are fantastic! There are also a number of guided meditations on this website that people can download.

    Take Care,

I love it! I’m partial to beach sounds as I find the water relaxing. If you do up more, that’d be great!

    Dear Melissa,

Could you please include an Archives section in your blog so I can read all your past entries in chronological order – I do not want to miss any post.

I do see popular posts and tags but still want to go through the entire blog, would be very useful for me, thank you!

Hi Sameera. You can subscribe to my RSS Feed to get every post sent to you instantly by email or you can use the Categories section to find all the posts. They are all sorted into categories there :) Otherwise, just use the back button at the bottom of the page to flick back. There are over 200 articles by now so it might be easier to just go through the categories section :)

This is perfect timing Mel! I’ve been studying (again) meditation, yoga, inner peace. Things to help me be healthier. I was gonna look at Netflix (it’s based in USA & Canada, where you stream movies or get DVD’s sent to your home for a monthly fee) for streaming meditation vids so I could have something then I saw this email from you!
I’ve tried meditating before & am honestly not good at it. My mind tends to wander so much. But I know it has healing properties to it- mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually.
So I thank you for this compilation you did for us. You are always looking out for your readers & it is very much appreciated!! I have it downloaded to my computer (don’t have Ipods or anything) & it will be put to great use.
