by Melissa on December 18, 2010 in Endometriosis Diet, Endometriosis Symptoms, Featured Articles, Healthy Lifestyle choices, Movement is key
Well, it has been about 4months since going on a completely vegetarian, non dairy diet and I can honestly say it is a amazing how good my digestion is. I know it is a stinky topic – ha ha but it is really quite important to recognise how much it impacts on your Endometriosis symptoms. [...]
Why Sweating like a Pig will make you feel better!
by Melissa on December 13, 2010 in Featured Articles, Movement is key
I was struggling really badly with allergies over the weekend. It was so bad I had to lock myself inside for several hours before it would calm down. Now, I had been quite naughty and drank a few too many wines on Friday night, so I can probably blame that one….. Thing is, it got [...]
My new stress relieving technique! – don’t laugh!
by Melissa on November 16, 2010 in Movement is key, Stress & Endometriosis
Well, in the past if I had a day like I had today, I would head straight for the cabinet, the fridge and toss in a lemon – yes I would have a nice cocktail or a strong drink! It always worked and made me feel instantly better…. perhaps the early signs of alcoholics anonymous [...]

by Melissa on November 12, 2010 in Movement is key, Yoga for Endometriosis
You know Yoga is brilliant for you and yet somehow finding the time can be tricky sometimes! I found a great solution – a Yoga DVD which you can do whenever you have time and it is easy to learn so you can remember the poses and do it without the DVD eventually! Check it [...]

Relieving Muscle Tension in your shoulders and body!
by Melissa on September 4, 2010 in Detoxing, Endometriosis Symptoms, Healthy Lifestyle choices, Movement is key, Yoga for Endometriosis
One of the symptoms of Endometriosis is also found in our shoulders and body aches. It all comes back to the liver function…. once again! The toxins within the body are not going to be expelled as easily due to our livers not working as well. This means we have toxic build-up in the muscles [...]
How to reduce bloating from Endometriosis
by Melissa on August 26, 2010 in Endometriosis Diet, Featured Articles, Movement is key, Yoga for Endometriosis
One of the major side-effects of Endometriosis is a incredible bloating, especially before your monthly. I first noticed I had Endometriosis just by the fact that I needed two sets of clothes for different times of the month – one was one size larger than the other! So, why do we bloat up so much? [...]
Pain? Go for a walk!
by Melissa on July 25, 2010 in Movement is key
I know you are going to think this won’t work. How can you even consider moving when you are so sore? How can you consider the idea when all you want to do is crawl up into a little ball and lay in bed. You want to scream with the pain and yet even that [...]
Can you wear Stockings? Leggings? I get pain, do you?
by Melissa on July 21, 2010 in Featured Articles, Fertility and Endometriosis, Movement is key
To me the first signal I get that Endo is back is when I can’t wear stockings, leggings or any tight jeans and I get pain. It is quite strange cos it seems worse when it is the last week before my period but somehow putting pressure on my abdominal area causes me more pain. [...]

by Melissa on July 21, 2010 in About Endometriosis - an introduction, Featured Articles, Healthy Lifestyle choices, Movement is key
Well, it is amazingly common how often this question does get asked and surprisingly is still debated. I know tampons are the easiest and that you can walk around without worrying, you can go swimming and they are easy from almost every point of view. But and this is a BIG BUT…. They are being [...]
The amazing healing properties of Lemons
by Melissa on July 7, 2010 in Endometriosis Diet, Featured Articles, Movement is key
Lemons are dotted around many gardens in Australia and New Zealand. There must have been a sale on them in the 80’s or something! Lemons grow easily here and have made the Lemon Pie very popular but did you know how beneficial lemons can be to your diet? I personally have it just like this [...]
The Tingly Massage!
by Melissa on July 1, 2010 in About Endometriosis - an introduction, Movement is key
This is a favourite of mine! You will stimulate the skin, your lymphatic system and it makes you feel calm and warm. So, get yourself a natural bristle brush (the bath ones are good as they have a longer handle) NOT PLASTIC! You can use loofa or even a facecloth if you have nothing else. [...]

by Melissa on June 13, 2010 in About Endometriosis - an introduction, Healthy Lifestyle choices, Movement is key, Stress & Endometriosis, Yoga for Endometriosis
I know when you hear the word exercise you probably just want to crawl under the bed or hide away. The thought creates visions of pain and discomfort for days after doing any form of exercise which is why most Endometriosis sufferers avoid exercise. Don’t worry it doesn’t mean going and running a marathon! Exercise [...]

I just wanted to say, how enlightening your Site is, a dear friend of mine, has gone through hell and back, it has taken them three and a half years to finally diagnose that she has Endometriosis, and as a result it is quite advanced, she is now waiting for an operation. I have been reading up on the subject, because I want to be there for her, and to do that I need to understand the problems she is encountering, many thanks for laying it out so that it can be easily understood.
