I thought I would share some basic information for all the newbies who are stubbling upon my site. I guess when you first come to my site it is hard to know where to start as there is just so much information on here now
The thing is, you have already started…. you have taken that first step – you have decided to search for answers, which has lead you to my site! Excellent- tick that one off the list! One thing already completed…….
Here are the other 4 Steps:
1. Consider what you are putting in your mouth and on your body
Everything you eat, drink, put on your body in the form of creams, shampoo’s and even the things you breathe in, all affect your health and especially Endometriosis. See, many of the things we come in contact with, contain what they call Xenoestrogens. These are bad for our Endometriosis as they elevate our Oestrogen levels. The elevated Oestrogen causes Endometriosis to grow even more. So, what contains Xenoestrogens? Almost all unnatural substances you put on your body or consume. Unfortunately this includes many of the fancy beauty products, hair dyes, shampoo’s and moisturisers. Research some of those ingredients and you will discover how toxic they are to the body and that most of those are xenoestrogenic on the body.
Even something as simple as plastic bottles are xenoestrogenic. When plastic gets heated it releases BPA which is also a Xenoestrogen.
Once we add all these little things up, they all add up to a long list of Xenoestrogens which are making our Endometriosis worse.
The only way to be sure is to buy organic or grow and make things yourself. Pure and natural is the way to go!
2. Do you need to loose weight?
Unfortunately, all those toxins sit in our fat cells. You may not want to hear this but the more fat cells you have, the more those Xenoestrogens have space to live. Your first steps therefore need to include weight loss. Start slow. Take a walk a day and start to reduce the foods that cause extra weight gain. Cut out dairy and over processed oils. Use Coconut Oil and Olive Oil only. These are pure and good for the body and have an amazing ability to allow you to loose weight quickly. Drink more water to help the body flush out those toxins too! Focus on fruits and vegetables and cut down on sugar and gluten products.
3. Get into some Superfoods
There is a great free guide on this site to introduce you to some amazing superfoods which you can download for free. Start with Maca Root – you can get it in a powder or in tablets. It has an amazing ability to heal all sorts of conditions and has dramatically helped my Endometriosis. There are also other fantastic superfoods like Spirulina and Goji Berries. They contain massive amounts of vitamins and minerals and will get you heaps of what you need to heal!
4. Look at your emotional state
If you are stressed out and freaking out about your Endometriosis, this is not going to help your healing. Start Yoga or meditation every morning and believe that you are strong and that you can overcome this. You need to start thinking positively and that things are possible. Stress inhibits healing so stressing and worrying about things is not going to solve anything. I know it is not always easy. I find it hard sometimes too. Thing is, there is inspiration of healing and others who have done it. Start to find those and read them and you will start to believe that there is a way forward.
You have the power to make your healing happen. The answers will come to you once you start believing that you can. Trust me, this is how the answers came to me.
Every journey starts with a single step and you can take these small steps to getting on the right track to your personal healing.
You are not alone! I am here for you

Hello Mel!
I am charmed with your blog and I admire you very much, write to you from Majorca (Spain) pardon for my mistakes with the Englishman.
I have begun this week with the Vitex and have left it because it makes me very sad and with stomachache.I want to ask you about the maca, it is good really? Do you believe that it you regulates the estrogens? I feel down of very badly humor the whole month, very variable etc. Apart from the colics of every month with the endo.
Do you take the maca the whole month? I´m desperate
Thank you very much and a hug
María
Hi Maria and thank you. I take Maca all through the month. I have it in a powder form in my smoothy and it does wonders. It regulates all the hormones. You should also look at DIM. It flushes out the bad Xenoestrogens from the body. http://www.cureendometriosis.com/how_dim_can_help_endometriosis/
I’m reading this at 4 am where I am. And where I am right now is on the couch with a computer in the middle of the night, suffering once again during that lovely time of the month. This article gives me hope that it is possible that this will not always be my reality. I start taking Maca next week, and have been using turmeric, evening primrose oil, omega 3 fish oil (purified!), ginger root, bee pollen, and a multi-vitamin for a month. I also do a calendula oil massage on my tummy when it hurts, which does help some and feels very relaxing. I have been trying to cut out dairy, sugar, caffeine, gluten/wheat, and meat. I was doing good till this week, but we are in the process of moving and I couldn’t keep it up
. I hope to really do better when we get done moving. I have cut out coffee.completely, so that is a good thing (I tell myself that every morning when I get and look at my poor unused little coffee maker, LOL). Well, time to try sleep again…wish me luck?
Hey Deb. Moving is one of the most stressful times in our lives. That together with a death in a family! So, don’t feel too bad. You are allowed to be stressed. Take care of yourself with some love and time out. Take up meditation or Yoga and focus more on just “being calm” at the moment. Worrying about the pain and what foods you should/shouldn’t eat is probably a little stressful too
Well done on what you have started taking so far! Big hugs!
