The big campaign to have more Omega’s in our diet is certainly out there and everywhere you look, someone is suggesting that we should include these “essential” oils in our diet. In most cases, it is suggested that we couldn’t possibly get them through our diet and hence having to now explore supplements or taking [...]
Hi, my name is Melissa.
I have been on a journey to try and somehow find a way to reduce my Endometriosis Pain and to see if there was any truth to some suggestions that I could CURE myself of Endometriosis. My journey initially began with a visit to numerous websites about natural healing options for Endometriosis. I instinctively knew that the answers lay in natural alternatives as I had already explored all the Western Medicine options and after 7 operations became a little disenchanted that they might actually provide me with any real answers.
I started to find actual REAL women who had managed to successfully CURE themselves of Endometriosis! It was unbelievable and I wanted to discover more…..
I explored as much as I could and the more I started to believe that I could actually find a real CURE, the more the answers seemed to present themselves to me. I have developed an intuitive sense of what methods to use and which directions to take. It is as if something is guiding me to finding the answers.
I wanted to share everything that I have discovered along the way, in an easy to read blog, to hopefully give you hope and insight into how you can at least reduce your pain with Endometriosis and potentially cure yourself of Endometriosis. The most important thing to remember is that, there is NO SINGLE CURE to any disease. It is our downfall for believing that ONE pill, or ONE herb or ONE type of treatment can heal us completely. The body doesn’t work that way! This is where many of us fall down with our healing. We try one tablet or one suggestion within the natural options suggested for Endometriosis and when we don’t get results, we either dismiss natural healing as ineffective or we move onto the next natural option.
Natural healing is called holistic healing. What that means is, that everything within the body needs to be well for a natural balance to exist. The same way a car needs all parts to work within the engine to run properly, the same way the body needs all organs to function properly. We assume that Endometriosis is our only problem and that we need to simply remove the Endometrial cells and then we should be all fixed, right? No…… There is a reason we developed Endometriosis. There is an imbalance in the body and this imbalance lies within other organs and functions in the body, not just our uterus. For each of us, this imbalance may be slightly different but that imbalance exists and until we repair the imbalance, we cannot heal Endometriosis completely. Make sense?
So, even though this blog is broken up into specific articles and suggestions for supplements or herbs to take for Endometriosis, please don’t assume that any one of those single herbs or supplements is going to completely reduce your pain or potentially cure Endometriosis. You need to take a holistic approach to Endometriosis. That means looking at ALL aspects of your health, including your emotional health to really see significant change. This means changing your diet, changing your outlook, changing your stress levels and incorporating as many holistic methods to healing the body – not just one or two but as many as you can.
My journey began with changing my diet. I discovered how important nutrition was to my healing and how reducing sugar, gluten and dairy were dramatic in improving my energy and pain levels. If you want to read more about these topics, you can find them in the diet section of this blog. Though I felt much better, I was still experiencing pain sporadically throughout the month and wanted to learn more and find ways to reduce that. I have approached my healing from every angle and I incorporate everything I have learnt into my daily life, permanently. I am now only sore for 1 day a month, the first day of my period, and instinctively know that my body is healing and curing itself of Endometriosis.
Natural healing does require commitment and change and for some of us these changes may take time, so please don’t feel this huge mound of pressure to make all these changes in one go. Create your own journey and allow my clues and suggestions to guide you on that journey, and allow your own intuition to guide you. Remember too, that not everything works for everyone and what may help me, may not benefit you.
The intention with this blog is to provide you with a positive voice for Endometriosis and to give you hope that there is a way forward, a way to not be in pain all the time and a way to potentially cure yourself of Endometriosis.
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. ~World Health Organization, 1948

Is your Treatment Plan for Endometriosis really working for you? Is it healing or merely suppressing symptoms?
by Melissa on January 25, 2012 in Featured, Hormone Treatments, Introduction, Mel's Hypothesis, Natural Therapy Options
I remember when my Treatment Plan for Endometriosis was quite different from what it is now. It is one I am sure you may identify with. I took the Contraceptive Pill continuously, took pain-killers and any other medications for the side-effects of the pill and went in for a Laparoscopy operation to “clean me out” [...]
The 3 Simple Keys to Good Health. If we do these three things, we are gonna feel better with Endometriosis!
by Melissa on January 24, 2012 in Endometriosis Diet, Inside your head!
Sometimes we can get caught up in a massive overflow of information with this whole healing thing. It is easy enough to do. Contradictory information, all sorts of claims by various supplements, people claiming all sorts of cures….it can get overwhelming! Thing is, it does come down to three simple things according to David Wolfe. [...]
My first experience with having a Colonic done….today! What happened and how does it feel?
by Melissa on January 23, 2012 in Detoxing, Movement is key
So, I didn’t want to tell you that I booked myself in for a colonic today, just in case I wanted to pull out of it. I was actually quite nervous about the whole thing and it took some serious guts (excuse the pun!) to actually go! First off, I might explain what a Colonic [...]

Are your personal relationships struggling because of Endometriosis?
by Melissa on January 21, 2012 in Inside your head!
I sometimes get these feelings. They come out of nowhere and I don’t even know why they pop up. Actually, that is a lie…. I do know why…. it is usually some silly girly movie or something a friend says about what their partner did for them or something like that. Well, it triggers this [...]
What goes in, must come out! Why I am realising that a good detox is the only way to really cure Endometriosis!
by Melissa on January 20, 2012 in Detoxing, Featured
I listened to a really interesting talk today about plastics. It was an audio by Daniel Vitalis on the David Wolfe’s Membership Forum. In it he describes how many of the common plastics we have in our lives contain Xenoestrogens, which he illustrates as directly affecting our hormones. It is said that these Xenoestrogens actually [...]

by Melissa on January 17, 2012 in Featured, Mel's Hypothesis
Okay, so you all know I am not a doctor or proclaim to be one but I do know an awful lot about this stuff and the more I learn, the more I understand how the body works. Sure, I am just hypothysising but that is kinda fun to do and it is heaps better [...]

by Melissa on January 16, 2012 in Detoxing, Endometriosis Diet
Being engaged to James (I am loving those words!), has really opened my eyes to the joys of flavours in foods and cooking. James loves using interesting spices and herbs and though I have always enjoyed them, I had no idea of their true benefits, until I started researching them a little further. So, I [...]
What is Interstitial Cystitis and how does it relate to Endometriosis?
by Melissa on January 15, 2012 in Break-through discoveries!
To be honest I had never even heard of this condition until a few months ago. I figured my symptoms that I had with my bladder, were all related to the Endometriosis and didn’t think it could actually be a completely separate condition. What’s interesting about Interstitial Cystitis is that many of the symptoms we experience with [...]
Do you find you often feel “alone”? Do you associate alot with emotions of “being alone”, “loneliness” and “abandonement”? Could we share this, along with Endometriosis?
by Melissa on January 14, 2012 in Featured, Inside your head!
Looking back over last year, the hardest event, was the passing of my dad. During that time, the hardest emotion was the emotion of…feeling alone, deserted, everything was meaningless and insecure. I wanted support and something to change. I felt so very, very alone. Isolated, separated and lost. To be honest, I hadn’t felt these emotions for [...]

I just wanted to say, how enlightening your Site is, a dear friend of mine, has gone through hell and back, it has taken them three and a half years to finally diagnose that she has Endometriosis, and as a result it is quite advanced, she is now waiting for an operation. I have been reading up on the subject, because I want to be there for her, and to do that I need to understand the problems she is encountering, many thanks for laying it out so that it can be easily understood.
